I am running to support Say Aphasia as it is a lifeline for so many people living with this condition.

My brilliant mother-in-law was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia in 2018. Despite her strength, courage and resourcefulness, aphasia brings so many challenges in communication and everyday interaction. PPA is a really rare condition, so the time around diagnosis felt quite isolating and it was difficult to know where to turn.

Charities like Say Aphasia provide the support that is so crucial to adjusting to the diagnosis and living well with aphasia.

Despite never having run this far in my life, I hope that sheer determination and belief in the cause will drag me around the course!

Thank you so much for supporting me and Say Aphasia.
