I have been working in a Stroke Department for over three years and have seen first-hand how stroke-related brain damage can affect a person’s ability to communicate. Many people lose the ability to speak, understand, read, or write, which can lead to isolation and a loss of confidence. This condition is called aphasia.
I am running for SayAphasia UK because this charity is truly special. It is run by people with aphasia themselves and focuses on peer support and friendship rather than formal therapy. SayAphasia UK helps people affected by aphasia rebuild communication skills, regain confidence, and rediscover hope.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help support people living with aphasia. Thank you so much for your support. Daniela Densley
