Sponsor us

From one-off support to long term partnerships, there are a number of ways in which your company could help us to continue our valuable work supporting people with aphasia. Supporting Say Aphasia is a great way to help us raise funds but there are lots of benefits to your organisation too.

Supporting us will help you achieve your corporate social responsibility goals by having a positive impact on people in your local area and making a real difference. If you are looking to inspire and motivate your employees, we will work with you to deliver a successful and engaging, charity partnership.

All of the Say Aphasia groups are free of charge, and thanks to businesses like you we can continue to provide exceptional support.

If you'd like to get involved, email us today.

What you can expect from us:

  • Recognition of your support with your business name included on the Corporate Supporter page of our website.
  • Publicity through our website, social media and newsletter.
  • Increase your Corporate Social Responsibility and recognition as a leader in the local community.
  • A variety of volunteering opportunities and tailor made team volunteering days.

How you can get involved:

  • Employee fundraising: We love it when employees get involved by fundraising in the work-place; it can really bring staff together and inspire them for a common cause. From dress down days to bake sales, taking part in one of our challenge events or donating stock to our online shop there are lots of ways to get involved.

  • Fundraising events: This is a fantastic way for us both to work together, to get your colleagues and customers involved in fundraising for Say Aphasia. We understand the need for creating tailored engagement and fundraising opportunities. Most of all we want you to have fun and ensure all your hard work is recognised.

  • Regular Donations: You can set up a regular donation. You can set this up here, and click 'regular'.

Employee Volunteering

We have a variety of volunteering opportunities for your staff at our events. It is a really simple and effective way to increase staff morale and has incredible potential for community impact.

Payroll Giving Payroll Giving

This is a flexible scheme which allows anyone who receives their pay through payroll to give regularly on a tax free basis. Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so for every £1.00 that you give it will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p. Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn or workplace giving) is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help charities budget and plan ahead more effectively. Employees can choose to support Say Aphasia with a regular donation direct from their pay.

Gifts in Kind

By providing gifts, raffle or auction prizes it helps reduce costs so more money can be spent on helping people with aphasia. To offer gifts in kind, please contact us.

Raising your profile

A good corporate partnership creates chances for each party to build joint business opportunities. This could be through cause-related marketing, brand association, or even onward introductions. All can lead to increased sales and fundraising, better long-term customer and supporter loyalty, and positive PR opportunities.

Sponsoring one of our events, taking part in one of our challenges, or donating towards our work can help you to engage with a wider audience and publicly demonstrate your company’s commitment to improving its local community.

Partnering with us will bring your company plenty of great PR and marketing opportunities; each and every time one of your employees gets involved, there is a story to be told. We are always happy to help maximise promotion of the partnership, both through our own channels (via our website, newsletters, Facebook, Twitter etc.) and through local media.

Increasing employee engagement

I am sure that we all know first hand that an improvement in employee wellbeing can lead to an improvement in workplace performance. Volunteering has been shown to yield a number of positive outcomes including increased confidence, enhanced social skills, improved mental health and raised aspirations.

Getting involved with fundraising activities and events can give your employees opportunities to be creative, to work autonomously, to use their own initiative and to influence decisions; all of which show a strong and positive link to workplace performance. There are also options for your employees to donate their time and skills to us on specific projects, helping them to meet individual personal development goals. In essence, engaging your staff in a charity partnership could have a direct positive impact on your company.

The most appealing part of partnering with a charity is that it offers a chance to add a little fun to the working week! We run a wide range of activities and events throughout the year that your staff can get involved with, and your fundraising contact will always be on hand to help those who would like to organise their own. Whether they are purely for fundraising purposes or have a more distinct objective, such as team building, we can offer ideas and practical support to get them on their way.

Go on, sponsor us!

    Why we exist

This charity knows first hand the confusion, frustration and change that a stroke can have on a person and their family. We know that aphasia is not only a result of a stroke, but also head injury, brain haemorrhage, or a brain tumour. That is why we are focused on supporting anyone with aphasia or similar conditions. We have many people who come regularly to our drop in groups who have aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia.
