Mark’s Half for Say Aphasia

As a speech and language therapy student I’m looking to help however I can to raise money for amazing charities like Say Aphasia.
We Run For Aphasia

This charity helped someone close to me after they suffered a stroke just before lockdown. At such a young age, it was incredibly difficult for them to find people to talk to about what happened and also people who could relate to them. Say Aphasia helped bridge that gap.
Katie’s SayAphasia Half Marathon

I am a Speech and Language Therapist in training and also a half-marathon novice! I am learning about aphasia and how it impacts people’s daily lives and so I have come to understand the importance of fundraising for support and research - and want to do my bit to help!
Nadia's Half Marathon for Say Aphasia

I am fundraising for Say Aphasia to raise awareness about aphasia and generate donations towards their great work.

Why we exist

This charity knows first hand the confusion, frustration and change that a stroke can have on a person and their family. We know that aphasia is not only a result of a stroke, but also head injury, brain haemorrhage, or a brain tumour. That is why we are focused on supporting anyone with aphasia or similar conditions. We have many people who come regularly to our drop in groups who have aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia.
