Dave and I were married for 6 weeks short of 60 years. He was a much loved husband to me, father to his 3 sons, and to his 6 grandchildren. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2012, which caused the collapse of several vertebrae in his spine. He was a very proud and stoic man right up until he died and we'll never know how much he suffered with his back pain. It was only in the last few weeks that he said he didn't want any flowers at his funeral (his words: 'complete waste of money'!), rather a donation was made to Say Aphasia
