The Stroke Team from Eastbourne are taking on the Brighton Half Marathon in support of Say Aphasia, a charity helping to raise awareness of one of the most life-changing effects of stroke. Aphasia can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand language, read, and write, often making everyday conversations and activities very challenging. For many stroke survivors and their families, it can completely change how they connect with others and navigate daily life. Our aim is to not only fundraise for vital support services, but also shine a light on the importance of understanding aphasia and ensuring survivors get the help they need for their recovery.
