Reading Half marathon for Say Aphasia Donate I am running the Reading half marathon in March in aid of Say Aphasia. I am a local volunteer for a support group in Winchester. Aphasia is a communication disability which occurs when the communication centres of the brain are damaged. This can be caused by a stroke, head injury, brain haemorrhage or brain tumour. People with Aphasia may struggle to read, write, use numbers or find the right words to say. These wonderful support groups allow people with Aphasia the space to express themselves and be heard regardless of the difficulties they may have in doing so. Say Aphasia helps people restore connection. I’ve never run a race of this distance before but I’m excited for the challenge and I feel honoured supporting this cause. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Hope Hardman Manage Cookie Preferences
