When my mum had symptoms of early onset dementia we found it so hard to get a proper diagnosis.
All tests for dementia came back negative so I started to research myself and, on reading about Bruce Willis’s aphasia, realised what was affecting mums speech and ability to process information. It was a relief in some ways but a frustration in that people didn’t understand. Leigh Walton
