He died in my arms at night just over 2 years ago. I'm still struggling and I miss him unbearably but after all that time grieving, I have decided to walk the Brighton half marathon for Guy. I started training in November. 10 years ago I nearly died of my stroke and it left me paralysed on my right side of my body and now I have Aphasia. Aphasia is a communication disorder that affects a person's ability to speak, understand language, read and write. Most of the general public have never heard of it. Before my stroke I was a teacher of English for foreign students and a translator. I spoke five languages. My whole livelihood & lifelong passion was suddenly gone because of aphasia. Please if you can donate to SayAphasia, a charity who has helped me enormously and other people with Aphasia in the future. RIP Guy Mayhem, whose love encouraged me not to give up after my stroke.
