Roles and responsibilities overview


Service Manager

  • Improve / develop / manage the charity, its people and its services.

  • Ensure a quality service.

  • Responsible for the charity being properly represented.

  • Oversee all communications (internally and externally).

  • Responsible for reporting to the board including but not limited to safeguarding, data reporting, risk management, policy reviews.

  • Support the fundraising, specifically large grants.

  • Coordinate the expansion, and support the maintenance of groups across the country.

  • Lead the volunteer meetings alongside Barbara, (Trustee and Safeguarding Lead).

 

Charity Coordinator

  • Be the main point of contact for all volunteers.

  • Support all volunteers.

  • Attract and manage new referrals.

  • Recruit volunteers.

 

Peer Leader & Group Assistants

(All volunteers are responsible for ensuring the checklist is completed at each meet-up)

  • Provide an inviting, supportive and safe space for people with aphasia to meet.

  • Be aware of members' communication capabilities.

  • Support members to express themselves to the best of their ability.

  • Ensure every new member receives a welcome pack.

  • Ensure the checklist requirements are met.

  • Ensure the required data is gathered.

 

Volunteer Catch Ups

All volunteers must meet regularly and discuss the quality of service they provide to our members.

Refer to the group checklist to make sure everything is being actioned.

  • How can you improve the quality of service you provide?
