The Bournemouth drop in group Grand Opening went brilliantly. And we’re looking forward to more.

On Monday 24th July we were delighted to greet the first members at our new Bournemouth drop in group.

Chris Giles (the new peer leader) and his team welcomed close to 40 people. There was a lovely celebratory atmosphere with cake, chat and lots of laughs.

The new group is being held 10am-12pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at Westbourne Tower Care Home, an accessible and comfortable venue.

Our Bournemouth group is our first in Dorset and takes our total number of drop ins up to 15.

It means that people with aphasia who live between there and Exeter (our other group in the south west) have a greater chance of being able to become part of the Say Aphasia community.

Congratulations to the team for getting it up and running. We’re sure it’ll go from strength to strength.
